| Description |
 Yi Wen Library was built by
the donation of the diseased Mr. Lin Yi-wen, formerly leader
of overseas Chinese in Japan. The construction was started in
1965 and completed in February, 1968, under the Town Public
Office. In memory of his good deeds, the Library was named ˇ§Wufeng
Town Yi Wen Library.ˇ¨
It was moved to the second floor of Integrated Social Welfare
Hall at No. 8, Da Tung Road in mid November, 1993.
Yi Wen Library was seriously damaged in 921 Earthquake. After
the ˇ§Golden Ideasˇ¨ project by Town Public Office, it was to
be renovated that the first and second floors were greatly expanded.
The entrance was changed to an arch. The first floor is Childrenˇ¦s
Reading Room, Periodicals Room and Book Storage. The second
floor is Regular Reading Room, Art Exhibition Room and Conference
Room. The flow of convenience and user-friendliness re-freshened
us and it is like visiting an artistic building when going to
the Library. |
