| Description |
Earthquake Museum was built
on the old address of Guangfu Junior High School. In addition
to preserve the original appearance ¡§at the original site,¡¨
(One side of School was lifted 1-2 meters high and the field
was split into two.) the requirements of the communities were
included, which brings the privileges to be a museum kept at
the original site.
Current construction is into three stages:
The first stage is focused on the preservation of the fault
and construction of relevant felicities for visitation. The
five principal parts are: Guide Center, Exhibition Hall of Che
Long Pu Fault, Observation Corridor to the Destroyed School
Buildings, Partial Outdoor Walk Path and Exhibition Hall of
Earthquake Images.
The second stage is aimed to supplement the surrounding facilities,
which includes Theater of Earthquake Experience, covering on
the destroyed classrooms and preservation of destroyed school
buildings wit the walk path in the whole area. The third stage
focuses on construction of Earthquake Museum with the purpose
of promotion of earth science and quake prevention education. |
| Collection |
An Exhibition Hall was built
in front of the old house for display of historical documents
of literature. The scions of Mr. Zhang provided a rich collation
of his diaries and historical documents, which is very precious
to the research of early people in Taiwan.
