The reed is the special plant in Taiwan , most of it is seen on the overhanging cliff and the mountain wall. It belongs to the perennial herb of the reed category in Gramineae Family. The shaft is drooping and empty, the leaf is long and acicular with the width of 1 to 1.5 centimeters. The base of the reed is the filament-like fur, the tip of the leaf is beard-like; the inflorescence is an expanded panicle. Each tassel is composed of three little flowers. The reed, drooping on the mountain wall, forms the superior plant. The stern and the leaves could be produced to be a broom.
