 Distribution ¡G It distributes at the water area of Wu Stream (the trunk stream and the river mouth of lower reaches). It's a Protozoa in Taiwan .

The bodily form is long, tall and flat with the round belly, little head, blunt mouth and without any cirrus. The mouth is slanting and curved. The gill is thin and long. Plenty of gills arranged in order tightly. There is a line of pharynx-teeth. The body is covered with big and round scales with a perfect, curved siding. Both the third hard fin-slice of the dorsal fin and the anal fin are very strong and both the hind edge of each are like the sawtooth. The ventral fin is on the belly part, and the tail is tip-shaped. The backside is slate-gray; the belly is silver and a little bit light yellow. The fish is middle-sized fish. The length of a ripe fish could be ten to fifteen centimeters.
Habitual Behavior ¡G They are fresh-water fish like swimming in warm water area and staying at the bottom of the water area. They always live in different kinds of water areas at the middle and lower reaches of the rivers. They can suit any conditions, endure the pollution and few oxygen and the salinity. They can live in the deep pool of the middle reaches of the river and the dirty water area with lower oxygen. They like to stay at the shallow water area where lives numerous hornwort and they could also stay at the high oxygen area. They are carnivorous and they like to eat the plankton, the aquatic plants, the shattered pieces of organic matters and the animals stayed on the bottom of the sea area. They have strong reproductive capacity but slow growing.
Distribution ¡G It distributes at the water areas of Daan Stream (the trunk stream of middle reaches), Dajia Stream (the trunk stream of the middle and lower reaches; the branches of middle reaches, Shaolai, Shiwen, Dongmao, Acun, and Mazhukeng Streams; the branches of lower reaches, Zhongke, Shijiaoand Shalian Streams) and Wu Stream (the branch of lower reaches, DaliStream). The original source of this ecospecies came from Mainland China .
