Experiences First child of Lin Xian-tang and grandson of Lin Wen-qin, he was born n 101 and studied abroad when he was a child. He was brought by his father to study at the elementary school in Japan in 1910 and later to Tokyo Imperial University and Oxford University in London, Sorborne University in Paris and Munich University in Germany. Such willpower and confidence to study is really amazing. He dedicated to education all his life.

After retuning to Taiwan from his study in U.K., the autonomy league in Taiwan to the reforms in autonomy was in heat. On the other hand, the movements by Taiwan Cultural Association made the youths believe it is their job to change the atmospheres in the society.

On February 24th, 1932, ˇ§Wufeng Yi Xin Associationˇ¨ was established in the hope to foster the literature, promote the development of the cultures in rural villages, and spread the spirit of autonomy to bring a new Taiwan. At the beginning, the location was at Yi Xin School at old Lin Hai-tang Hall and was lectured by the sinology pioneer Mr. Zhuang Tai-yue for free. The school was popular among the middle family with many students there.

Study on sinology was banned by Japanese government on February 4th, 1933. The activities were then focused on the reforms of social customs. The Japanese government was in the war system; the School did not have significant activities and it was changed Yi Xin Huei Library at the same place.
Contributions He established the ˇ§Wufeng New Associationˇ¨ to cultivate the motherland iterature, to promote the cultural development of countryside, to spread the spirit of self-government widely on February 24 th , 1932 . His purpose was to recreate Taiwan with pure and fresh manner, so he inaugurated Xinyishu at the place of Linhaitong residence to discuss Chinese Literature. First, he invited the leading authority of Chinese Literature, Mr. Zhuangyiruo (Zhuangtaiyue), as the speaker. The audiences are free to listen to the speech. It was very popular for people of middle and high ranks.
