The color from the chest to two costae are light ash-brown. The parts up the belly is olive-green and down the belly is grayish white.

Habitual Behavior ： They often act in the cities, farms, residences, the forest around the orchards and the bamboo forest. In non-breeding season, they will pursue and quarrel noisily in group; in breeding season, they will appear in pairs at certain domains. They will stay at the high place or the wire pole to strike flying insects. The sound is loud, clear and highly changeable. When they are seeking a life partner, they will sound and spread the wings. It is called “Presentation.” In the period of seeking the lover, they will attack the other birds on the white feathers on head. The white area of the head will be changed by season. The birds are polyphagia, and the eating custom will change by season. They eat the insects in the breeding period and eat fruits, seeds and leaves after the autumn is coming. They will build oval nests with the stern, the lappet, the tassel and plastic on the fruit trees or the undergrowth which are not far away from the ground. The birds could lay eggs three times. Each time they will lay two to four eggs. The birds will be hatched about 12 days.
