 It occupied the square measure of six thousand three hundred and ninety-nine level ground. (one level ground equals to thirty-six square feet), which is the center of Arts and Literature in the hill-route area. The facilities included the Children Room, the Periodical Room, the Stack and the conference Hall were at the first story, the Painted Corridor was at the second story, the Weaving Hall, the Cultural and Historical Relics Exhibition Hall and the Demonstration Room is at the third stage, and the Audio-visual Room, the Reference Room and the Common Reading Room were located at the final stage. In order to promote the level of appreciation for the residents in Taichung County ordinarily, there are some developed and static activities and exhibitions held by Culture Center to maintain and preserve local culture assets and artworks. The collections of the local folklores and antiques, the special handicrafts and and the local documents and historic traces. Besides, there is a ˇ§Weaving Hallˇ¨ in the third story which is a demonstrative unit to popularize the weaving craft.
Furthermore, it is a service center to assist the residents to slove their family problems which has become another characteristic of this center.
