Since Ching Dynasty Liu Ming
Chuan established Directorate General of Taiwan Railroad Business, it has been ten
decades. Parts of branch line stopped because of time. The Lengthwise Past Mountain-line
which plays an important role on transportation between north and south finished even
tracks in September, 1997. The odd track line between San Yi and Feng Yuan became a
history. However, this section has transported for one hundred years. Besides plentiful
natural landscape resources along the line, there¡¦re broken bridge ruins, railway
stations, stuff about railway transportation, etc. All of them have a historic meaning and
can¡¦t be substitute. It¡¦s true that it is going to be closed, so the collection of
documents and history and reserve of it is an important thing. Scenery Exhibition of Past
Mountain-line needs to borrow hundreds of the old photos, cultural relics about railroads,
a model of train, documents and history in writing to show the charms of railways again. |
